Meet The Newest Stampin' Up Demo!

Yep.. I did it! Ordered my kit tonight and I'm so excited!

I'm most likely going to start out as a hobbiest. I don't feel like my crafting in stamping is good enough yet so I'm going to work on perfecting some techniques and LEARNING!!!

I hope to have a lot of fun with Cheryl, my upline and another friend Maria who also just joined!

Cards and Challenges!

I can't believe I actually created 2 cards tonight! I issued a challenge to my stamping buddies here locally where I live and provided Julee Tilman's sketch challenge to motivate everyone. Here's the card I made for the challenge:

We've had crazy weather here today! Most of the state of Florida lost power today for a long period of time. A strong cold front is pushing it's way through and we've had tornado watch and warnings all day. Right now it's POURING and lightning and thundering. We need the rain..but I'm not looking forward to the 30 degree weather that's coming with the rain. YUCK!

This picture doesn't do the card justice!

I really have to come up with a better way to photograph my cards. The pictures aren't coming out well at all. And I have a NICE camera.

I made this tonight with a new stamp I bought this weekend at StampFest.
I used stickles on the green leaves, the pitcher and the glass. I also used my new corner adorner punch and the sentiment reads "thanks so much".

I'm going to start a weekly challange with my stamping buddies to keep us motivated!

Great Weekend of Stamp Related Fun!!

Saturday, a bunch of my scrapping/stamping buddies and I got together to go to the Stampfest held in Clearwater. I had never been before and OMG.. I was in heaven! I spent WAY to much money but I got some really cool stamps and accessories.

Here's a card I made tonight with one of my new stamp sets from Darcie's. I colored this with my Prismacolor Pencils and used OMS to blend. I also forgot to post the Valentine's Day Card I made for my son.... so here it is! He loves to fish so this was the perfect card.. It's a Bella Fella!

Bella Birthday Cards!

Made this birthday Bella for one of my co-workers whose birthday is on Valentine's Day.

I used DCWV Cardstock pre-made cards, cuttlebug for the embossed background and Prima Flowers to embellish along with some fiber yarn I had in my stash. I colored it with Prisma Color Watercolor pencils.

This card was colored by my daughter. Her best friend's birthday is also Valentine's Day and she wanted to make her a Bella Card. I think she did very good for her first card! I'm very proud of her and she really had fun making it! This card was colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and blended with OMS.

I really am a bad blogger!

Made this card for my cousin and his wife who are expecting a baby girl in May! They have two little boys already and this is their first girl! WOOHOO!!

I've been so behind on blogging!! Sorry for those of you who come check in on me! I promise to be a better blogger!

My scrapping group held a crop on Saturday, Feb 2. It was a lot of fun even though I only got 2 pages done! I spent more time stamping and going through tons of stamps that Becky put on the swap table and For Sale Table.

I bought several stamps that day.. some really cute ones that I can't wait to play with. I got two Bella's from Shelley.. Javabella's and Teach-A-Bella.

I made a couple of cards to share. I still have to finish my Valentines Day Cards. Nothing like waiting till the last minute huh??

Friday Night I'm having my very first Stampin Up Party! I'm so exicted!!

Saturday, I'm going to Stamp Fest where I am sure I'll get into tons more trouble! I'm so hopeless! I just need to get my butt off the computer and start stamping! I need some Mojo!

Oh!! Other excited news... I won a set of stamps from The Pink Cat Studio!

I chose Lily & Tweet... aren't they adorable??? Can't wait to get them!

I'm going to make cards tomorrow night with my daughter so I promise to post pictures of what we come up with.

WOW.. I've been MIA...

Sorry I've been a bad blogger!

I started back to work on the 21st and have been working late so I haven't had much time in the evenings to stamp! I am going to an all day crop on Saturday and we'll be cropping and stamping and I'm so excited!

I have made a couple of cards since my last post, but my camera is giving me fits and I can't get the files downloaded to the 'puter to post them! I'll try again tomorrow night!

I am a stamping blog stalker. I LOVE looking at everyone's creativity and all the tutorials out there.. oh my! One of the blogs I read daily is Joanne B.

I was first to comment on her giveaway last night and I can't wait to see what I am getting. She's sending me samples and all kind of good stuff.. you can see the picture on her blog.

Just A Short Note...

Today was my first day back to work. I got re-hired at the company I worked at for 12 years and I'm really happy and excited to be back there. I had a wonderful first day.. everyone welcomed me back and it was such a heartwarming feeling!

I didn't get to create any cards tonight, but tomorrow night I will! I'll post some new pictures tomorrow night!

Wonderful Day....

Saturday I went over to my friend Shelley's house to stamp! She has EVERYTHING a girl could ever want! I totally love her papercutter called the Dreamkuts.

That thing is so cool cutting your cardstock perfectly! Now, Shelley was kind enough to offer us the use of any of her stamps and she has almost every single Bella there is! I was in BELLA Heaven!

I stamped 29 different Bellas/Fellas and now I have 3500 images to play with! Just kidding... I didn't stamp 3500! But I stamped A LOT!!

I can't wait to start coloring and creating cards! I will post a few later tonight!

Lynn..You're The Best!!

Here's the RAK I received today from Lynn! So many goodies in this box. Stamped images, including Bellas and the cutest Valentine stamps! She included ribbons, clear stamps, embellishments and a bottle of Stickles.. OH.. and M&M mini's which are my favorite!

All of these goodies were in the cutest holder.

This is the gorgeous Bella card she made me! I LOVE IT!!

Thanks again Lynn.. I'm so thankful for everything you sent. I am a brand new stamper and I don't have a lot in my stash yet. I LOVE everything.

My Very First Bella Card!!

Well.. Here it is... I'm so excited! I'm happy with how my first card turned out. I know I need more practice coloring and I will get better with time. I had so much fun creating this card.

I've got lots more to practice on so expect more to follow tomorrow.

I'm making progress!!

I went to Joann's today to purchase some colored pencils so I can start playing with my bellas! I bought the starter pack of Prismacolor Watercolor pencils and a Zig H2O brush. I found a great deal on boxed cards..$5.97 for 60 cards. Even though they are labeled Christmas Cards.. the colors are great and will be useful year round.

I'm just starting back to work next week, so funds are kinda low right now, but as soon as I get a couple of paychecks you can bet I'm going to add to my Bella collection and I've got to get me Riley the Moose from Hanna stamps! So cute!!

Love this Card!!

There's a story behind me making this card...

I made this for my childhood best friend Cathleen, that I found about a month ago after 30 years of searching. See story here : http://monismumblings.blogspot.com/2007/12/i-am-so-excited.html

One of my most vivid memories of our childhood was when we were in 4th grade and we used to play jacks on her front porch. One day she had me laughing so hard I literally peed my pants on her porch. I was mortified! Now we laugh at the memory!!

So, my friend Joni has this wonder scrap room and she has more stamps that I've ever seen! She had this stamp of the little old ladies and another sentiment stamp that says" Sometimes I pee when I laugh".

When I saw that sentiment stamp I knew I had to make a card for Cat! Here's the finished card.. I'm going to mail it to her tomorrow.

I was blog surfing the other night and came across Lynn's blog http://thequeensscene.blogspot.com . She stated she had won a pay it forward and wanted to do the same for someone else and asked readers to post when the last time they sent a card out and who it was sent to.

I told her about the card I made for Cathleen and how I had just found her after searching for her for over 30 years!!

I don't know what I have won, but as soon as I find out I'll post an update! I will be posting a pay it forward contest soon to keep this Random Act of Kindness going!

It's not finished...

I attempted to create a new card last night. My problem is I need to go out and buy some coloring pencils and markers. I only have Crayola markers at home now! God knows how old they are..

Here's the almost finished card.. all I have to do is color in the stamp.

Welcome to my blog!

Ok, so I've been scrapping for over 6 years..and I love scrapping...

Yesterday, I went to Joni's house to scrap and one of the challanges in our scrap club was to create a card to send to the troops.

Joni helped me use her stamping stuff to create my first card.. and after looking through all the stamps she has and all the beautiful cards she's made I am hooked!! I had so much fun making this card!

Now, don't laugh... it's certainly not spectacular! As a matter of fact it's just plain simple.. but I digress. I found out about Bella stamps.. and OH MY GOSH!!! I AM IN LOVE!

Today I spent HOURS on the web, looking at stamping sites, stampers that blog and I can't wait to get more card making experience under my belt.
