Hope Your Not Tired Of..

Magnolias. I am totally in love with these little people! They are so much fun to color and create cards with.

If you'd like to order you can contact Diana Crick at magnolia.us@shaw.ca
She will send you an inventory list via email. Hopefully her site will be up and running soon! I can't wait.

Yesterday, my friends Lynn and Amanda came over and we spent all day coloring and making cards.

I'm going to share one card from each of us! Amanda and Lynn don't have blogs but I'm going to work on getting them to start one. :)

This is the card I made. I colored Tilda with my Copic markers and used Stampin Up ink pads to daub the sky and grass. I really like how this card turned out!

This Edwin card was colored and created by Amanda. She did a great job! I love how it turned out.

Lynn made this adorable Tilda card! I love the colors she chose.. she is just so cute!

On a side note, I'm praying for all of those in the path of Hurricane Gustav! We are getting alot of wind today from the outer bands of this massive storm.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to have some more cards to share with you tomorrow! Have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!

Edwin

I made this card for my Magnolia-Licious "It's Raining Cards" swap. I really enjoyed making this card. I colored Edwin with copic markers but the stone wall is colored with Primsacolor pencils and OMS.

I sponged the sky and the grass. Edwin is cut out and placed on pop dots for dimension. I really like how it turned out. Can't wait to play some more this weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!

Where has the time gone??

Well, Tropical Storm Fay has finally left the state of Florida! I think that's a record...having a storm linger for 7 days! Our state is totally saturated and I honestly can't wait to see the sun shine again.

We did get some wind and rain but nothing like my SBS sister Roz. Her area received over 20 inches of rain in 24 hours.

I have been making cards the past 10 days since I've blogged. I got my first order of Magnolia stamps and gosh have I had fun playing with them! I finished my cards for my "raining cards" swap today and will get them in the mail tomorrow.

The card below was made for my best friend Kelli. I gave it to her on Friday and she loved it. I'm so glad she did!

The image was colored with Prisma Color Pencils and OMS. I used my Martha Stewart decorative border punch and added a plain white ribbon.

I'll be posting more frequently.. I promise! thanks for visiting!

Happy Saturday!! Lot's to Talk About!!

Sorry I've been MIA the past few days. It's a busy month for me! Lots of family birthdays in the past two weeks. First me on the 21st of July, then my Dad on July 29 and Mom's birthday was August 6th. Needless to say, lots going on!

If you haven't already, please stop by the Stamping Links To Love blog and check out our first challenge! I haven't had a moment to play yet, but I plan on participating and posting my card in the next couple of days.

I am totally in love with Magnolia stamps and just placed my first order with Diana Crick. Diana is the creator of the Scor-Pal and she is opening an online shop sometime this month to sell the Magnolia stamps here in the US and Canada. If you love Magnolias too, come join our Yahoo Group! There are so many insanely talented stampers in our group. I am in awe of the creativity in this group! If you want to place an order with Diana, you can reach her via email at: magnolia.us@shaw.ca

I am also hosting my first image swap over at SplitCoastStampers for Magnolia images! Come join us here!

Claudia is giving away some awesome blog candy. Check it out here and take a look at her Magnolia cards. She is simply amazing!!

Here is a card I made a couple of weeks ago that I haven't posted yet. I used the adorable cupcake stamps from My Favorite Things. Love this set!
The Designer Paper is from the Nursery paperpack from DCWV. I used my cuttlebug embossing folder, Nesties and colored with my SU markers. I added stickles to give it a little bling.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I have relatives visiting from Germany, so I'll be busy today and tomorrow and don't know if I'll get any stamping time in or not!

Talk to you soon!

Hugs,

My First A Muse.....and Cards For Heros

For my birthday I splurged and bought quite a few A Muse stamps. I fell in love with this little bird and bee. Isn't it cute? I've been busy stamping and coloring images so I can get some cards put together.

I've got some neat cards I'm finishing up and hope to get them posted this week.

Many of you out there may have already heard of the Cards For Heros organization. If you've been a follower of my blog, you know that I have several very dear people in my life who serve in the US Marines. Kevin, my daughter's high school boyfriend is deploying to Iraq sometime in the next few days.

If you have cards sitting around collecting dust, or card fronts you would like to donate, I would love to take them off your hands and send them over to Kevin's unit. Several of my stamping buds and I are getting together to create cards for the troops.

My goal is to send over a box each month, so the troops will have cards to send home to loved ones. I'm going to focus the next couple of weeks on Christmas Cards.

If you'd like to help out... check out the link above. They post weekly on what kinds of cards they are in need of and how many cards they've sent out that week. It's really amazing how much it boosts their morale!

Happy Stamping!

It's Raining Cards!!!

A few weeks ago I joined a new yahoo group called Magnolia-Licious for Magnolia stamp lovers. This is an awesome group of amazingly talented stampers!

We formed a "It's Raining Cards" group and each month 4 people get showered with cards from the others who chose to participate.

I was lucky to have gotten chosen to be rained on for the month of August. I've already received several cards and I have been so thrilled each day when I open my mailbox! I wanted to share the cards with you.

The first card, below was created by Christina: I just love the scene and the colors! the Tilda is colored beautifully and has glittery wings.. so cute!

Georgia made this adorable card below: The wings on this are also glittery. It doesn't show up well in the picture.. Love Georgia's coloring!

This card below was created by Krista. Very elegant card.. I love it! Cathi created this adorable card. It is so bright and cheery! The bow on her head looks like it has crystal affects applied. Love the nesties used and the color scheme.
The card below came all the way from the UK! Shell sent me this butterfly card.. I love butterflies!

Last but not least.. Cheryl created this gorgeous Edwin card! Her coloring is amazing!
I hope that someday I get as good as these ladies with my coloring skills and creativity!
Thanks again to each of you! I love each of these cards!!
