A Beautiful Card From A Beautiful Person

Sometimes, people come into our lives and when you meet them you just know they are special and that you will form a special friendship with that person. When I met Lynn back in January, I had just returned to my old job where I had worked for 12 years prior to taking a 4 year hiatus to be a SAHM. Lynn works in my department and I just loved her the moment I met her.. just like everyone else does. She's truly an Angel and I am so blessed to call her my friend.

Anyway, Lynn made me this card for my birthday! When we were in Mt. Dora on Saturday, we were in this really neat gift store. I came across this wall hanging that has my favorite quote on it. It reads " Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away". Well... I had already done my damage to my wallet at the Stamping Station so I didn't buy it. Guess who did?? I don't know how she snuck getting away with that! I came to work this morning and opening a gift bag with this beautiful card and the plaque. I'll have to take a picture of it, it's still at work hanging in my cubical. Lynn... Thank you... I love you Girl!!

Look What I Got For My Birthday!

As I told you on Friday, I went to Mt. Dora on Saturday with two dear friends of mine and we had a total blast at the Stamping Station. The picture above is all of the stamping stuff I got for my birthday. The pictures below will give a better close up so you can see what I got. I went a little crazy buying A Muse stamps! It was my first time being able to choose from such a wide variety of A Muse and I think I bought almost all of the new Christmas line!
I got two new sets of Nesties, a new cuttlebug folder ( hearts) and two small Hero Arts stamp sets.
I'd been looking for the male penguin to go with my Hula Girl Penguin and luckily found it. I bought my first Copic Markers, Twinkling H20's and several packs of A Muse note cards.

My BFF Kelli bought me three acrylic stamps sets.
I had a really great birthday! Thanks to all of my SBS-15 sisters who sent greetings my way and posted Happy Birthday notes on their blogs for me. You all are the best!

More BRAK Cards...

More cards from my awesome Stamping buddies at the Amuseaddicts Message Boards. The card above is from Connie Heitner!

It's Almost Friday!!

Just sharing a couple more cards made last weekend.

The top card was made with a stamp from My Favorite Things. I'm loving cupcakes right now.
I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder for more embellishment and used stickles on the sprinkles of the cupcake to give it a little bling.

The second card is using Stampin Up's "She's All That" stamp set. Love this image! Just a simple card.

I'm so excited.. on Saturday, me and a couple of friends are going to Mt. Dora to this wonderful stamp shop. I hear they have an incredible inventory and since it's my birthday on Monday, I'm going to treat myself to my first few Copic Markers! Oh.. and a few new stamps too!

Tomorrow night, six of my girlfriends, my daughter and I are going to see Mama Mia! I can't wait! I've hear this movie is great.. I'll be sure to report back this weekend on how it was.

I have received several BRAK cards ( Birthday Random Act of Kindness) and plan to take photos of them this weekend to share with you all. One of my SBS-15 sisters, Emma made me the most gorgeous card! Thank you Emma!!

Loving my Bellas and Fellas!

Thought I'd share a couple more cards tonight. I love my Bellas!

The top card is just a simple Happy Birthday Card. The second card is stamped with a very funny sentiment inside which says " We've been through alot together and most of it was your fault." Love this... so funny. I think it's the perfect card to give to my best friend Kelli!

Will be back again tomorrow! Have a great day!

I Got Inky!!

Just wanted to share a few of the cards that I was able to make this weekend. My friend Amanda came over after work on Friday night and we stamped until 4am!! OMG the time flew.. but we were on a roll and completed 17 cards that night! It was alot of fun! I'll have lots to share with you in the coming days.

The first card is a Magnolia stamp. If you like these stamps you should check out the new yahoo group that Deb and Diana Crick from Scor-Pal created. The yahoo group is MAGNOLIA-licious-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. There is so much talent on this group!

The second card is one of my favorites I made this weekend. I just love this crotchity old lady! I bought the stamp at a yard sale, so I'm not sure who the stamp is made by. I used Nana's Nursery Girl DP for the card base and added the cuttlebug embossed strip for more depth.

The third card is from a stamp set I bought from Gina K. Designs. Love her stuff!!

Thanks for looking!! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Sharing A Few New Cards

I've been reading alot about mass producing cards and my friend Shelley is the master at mass producing. I took a few tips from her and a couple of weeks ago I sat down and started cutting patterned paper and cuttlebugging with my embossing folders to prep for a mass production line. Now I just need to get some images colored and I can start assembling!

Here's a few that I was able to put together so far.
